About Visara

I am a committed, approachable and enthusiastic university student who takes pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. As a current LLB Law student at City St George’s, University of London, I bring both academic knowledge and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

Having experienced private tutoring myself, I understand the difference that a good tutor can make from a student’s perspective. I know how important it is to have a tutor who is patient, encouraging and approachable, while also being able to provide clear guidance and constructive feedback. This experience has shaped the kind of tutor I aim to be.

My aim is to help students feel more confident in their abilities, develop a genuine understanding of their subjects and reach the grades they are capable of achieving. I want every student to leave my lessons feeling that they have made progress and are better prepared to tackle their studies independently.

I am reliable, professional and committed to putting my best effort into every lesson. Most importantly, I want to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from their mistakes and developing confidence in themselves.

About the lesson

My Teaching Methodology

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit the individual needs of each student. I use a combination of teaching methods, including visual resources such as mind maps and diagrams, written explanations and notes, verbal discussion, questioning, and interactive activities.

My lessons are focused on helping students understand the content rather than simply memorising it. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, as knowing the content is only one part of achieving a high grade.

Having recently completed my A-Levels, I understand what examiners look for and the common mistakes students can make. I can work through past papers with students, explain how questions should be approached, identify where marks can be gained or lost, and help students develop strong essay-writing, application, analysis and evaluation skills.

I also provide personalised feedback and encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in lessons. My goal is to build both academic ability and confidence so that students become more comfortable approaching exams independently.

Lesson Length

Lessons are typically 1 hour, although I am happy to offer longer sessions where appropriate, particularly for exam preparation, revision or working through past papers.

My Qualifications & Experience

I am currently studying an LLB Law degree at City St George’s, University of London. I have a strong passion for Law, Business and Politics and recently completed my A-Levels, meaning I have first-hand experience of the current A-Level learning and examination process.

Alongside my university studies, I mentor younger students in Maths and English, which has helped me develop my communication, patience and ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple and understandable way.

I have also experienced private tutoring myself as a student. This has given me an understanding of what makes a tutor effective from a student's perspective. I know the importance of having a tutor who is approachable, patient, encouraging and able to adapt lessons to the student's individual needs.

Who I teach

I primarily offer tutoring to A-Level students studying Law, Business and Politics. I am particularly suited to students who want additional support with understanding difficult topics, revision, essay writing, exam technique, past papers and preparing for examinations.

I am happy to work with students of different abilities, whether they are looking to strengthen their understanding of the subject, improve their exam technique, or work towards achieving the highest grades possible
