About David
I graduated Oberlin Conservatory in 2006, and have over 20 years experience with students of all ages and all levels of experience. I teach all contemporary styles including alternative/indie, rock, blues, advanced jazz improvisation, and experimental music. I also can offer instruction on songwriting, recording/producing, and vocal coaching.
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned guitarist looking to branch out and learn some new skills, I will work with you to achieve your goals. In my 20 years of teaching music full time, I've always considered every student an opportunity to learn and improve the quality of instruction I'm able to offer.
I always make the student's goals and interests a priority, while also ensuring they have a solid foundation of technique and fundamentals.
My students are my 100% top priority. I even offer consultation between lessons if a question comes up.
