About Helena
My name is Helena and I'm a Classics and English university student. With previous tutoring experience in History and English, I am looking to help students succeed in English at both GCSE and A-level. My teaching techniques depend on how you like to learn and what you wish to get out of tutoring sessions. Whether you are struggling with the entire subject, a specific area, studying for an exam or writing an essay, I'd be happy to help

Techniques and teaching methodology depend on the student. Every student learns differently and has different goals they wish to achieve through tutoring. Some examples of techniques may include: discussion-based learning, assignment assistance and active recall.
A typical length of a lesson is 1 hour, however, this can be extended or shortened to fit students' demand.
My qualifications are: GCSEs and A-levels in English as well as currently pursuing a degree in Classics and English. I have previous peer tutoring experience in English and History.
My lessons are typically for GCSE and A-level students but I am happy to assist with students outside this range if needed.
