About Clarinda
Why Kimmy Kaai?"
I've always had a deep love for creativity, colour and making things with my hands. My background in textiles, printing, design and crafts has given me the opportunity to explore many different creative forms, but I've come to realise that what I enjoy most is not only creating — it's sharing that creativity with others.
I have a particular soft spot for children and the wonderful way they see the world. Children don't always need to be taught how to be creative — they already are. Sometimes they simply need someone to encourage them, give them the tools to explore, and tell them, "Let's see what you can create."
I feel that teaching art to children is something I'm being called to do.
Kimmy Kaai Creative Art Studio for Kids was born from that feeling.
My aim is to create a warm, encouraging space where children can explore colour, drawing, painting, texture and different creative techniques without the pressure of having to be "perfect."
There are no mistakes in our art — only opportunities to experiment, discover and try something new.
I want every child to leave a lesson feeling:
"I made this."
"I can do this."
"I have an idea."
Because perhaps the greatest gift art can give a child isn't the ability to draw perfectly.
It's the confidence to create.
