About Navid

I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal, specializing in International Relations and International Political Economy. I also hold a Master's degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor's degree in International Development.

I bring 15 years of teaching experience across five countries: South Korea, Turkey, Iran, India, and Canada

I really enjoy teaching, exchanging ideas, and helping students explore different perspectives. I believe Political Science should be engaging, accessible, and connected to the world around us.

About the lesson

Understanding Politics in our rapidly changing world is more important than ever. I’m here to make this process easier whether you’re a Political Science student looking for academic support or simply someone curious about how the world works,
I believe Political Science is best learned through discussion, critical thinking, and connecting theories to real-world events.

My goal is to make complex political concepts accessible, engaging, and relevant to your interests and needs.

My lessons cover a wide range of topics, including:
• International Relations: IR theories, war and conflict, international security, strategy, the international system, climate change, and global politics.
• International Political Economy: International trade, tariffs, sanctions, globalization, economic development, and the relationship between politics and economics.
• Comparative Politics: Political systems, revolutions, social movements, nationalism, identity, democratization, and political institutions.
• International Development and Cooperation: Poverty, inequality, foreign aid, development policies, international organizations, and global governance

What to Expect in My Lessons:
Our first lesson will focus on understanding your academic background, learning goals, and areas where you need support or would like to improve.
I ground my lessons in real-world political events, both historical and contemporary. I believe that the best way to understand Political Science is to explore the historical and political contexts in which its concepts and theories emerged, and how we can apply them to explain the world today.
Rather than simply memorizing theories and concepts, we will use them to analyze real events, understand political developments, and make sense of the world around us

What Makes My Lessons Different?
I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal, specializing in International Relations and International Political Economy. I also hold a Master's degree in Public Policy and have 15 years of international teaching experience across five countries.
My academic background and international experience allow me to bring different perspectives into the classroom and connect theoretical discussions with practical examples from around the world.
