About Laura
I am a university student studying Criminology and History at the University of Liverpool, although I am passionate about art and all things creative. I did Art and Design for both my GCSEs and A-Levels, achieving a high grade in both.
My previous experience in tutoring Art and Design allowed me to have an interactive and participatory approach to teaching which both myself and my students enjoyed. I have found this to be a productive method and a good way to achieve a high quality of work.

My teaching technique consists of an interactive and practical approach where creativity and organisation are prioritised. This means supporting the student with their work and enabling them to achieve the best of their ability. Due to the versatile nature of the subject, my lessons are focused on the student's requirements and I will work alongside the student to support them and their work.
My lessons last 2 hours, although this can be changed if necessary. I teach secondary school students, from Year 7 to Year 13.
I have experience in tutoring Art and Design via private tutoring and through the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative. Within these lessons, I assisted GCSE students with their sketchbooks and A-Level students with structuring their work and younger years with homework-based tasks.
