About Franca
Hello there,
I am a German native living permanently in Manchester. I have completed my university education in the Netherlands in 2018 and then moved over to the UK.
Before this I lived in Hamburg, where I welcomed a Dutch exchange student into my flat share who wanted to learn German. She left 6 months later being fully conversational in German and completely confident to speak to anyone in the language.
Following this, I tutored fellow students at uni who needed help with translations, grammar and towards the end of the study with their Goethe exams (official German language certificate).
I tutor because I always had a affinity for languages and developing other people's skills brings me joy!

During my degree in the Netherlands I have tutored fellow students in German, but I realised the most important thing over grammar is to speak as much as possible, otherwise the understanding and feeling for the foreign language will never be there.
I have encountered this myself, having lived abroad in 3 different countries since I am 19 y/o.
During my class YOU will do most of the talking. I am there to correct, ask questions and guide you. Depending on your level of German we will adapt the approach and figure out where your pain points are.
I am not a very serious character and I think learning a new language should be fun! If you don't enjoy it, you won't put in the work. So let's have a bit of a laugh whilst racking our brains over German grammar!
