About Oluwa
My methodology focuses on inquiry-based learning—asking questions to explore the deeper emotional and technical layers of vocal performance. I believe that every singer has a unique story, and my role is to help them discover how to tell it through sound. We start by identifying the why behind each song: Why did the composer write it? What’s the emotional arc? What’s your personal connection? This introspective approach enhances interpretation, phrasing, and delivery. Students learn to experiment with vocal colour, dynamic contrast, and tempo changes to express emotional nuance. They become vocal storytellers, not just technicians. I encourage curiosity: What happens when you change your vowel shape? What if you take a softer entrance? These questions lead to critical thinking and vocal problem-solving, helping students develop self-directed learning habits. Through reflection and exploration, students build a deep, personal connection with their voice and with the music.

For the past 8 years, I have been guiding high school and college students towards their vocal goals as a dedicated singing tutor. Throughout my career, I have successfully mentored over 300 students, each with different abilities and aspirations. My teaching style revolves around personalised instruction, where every lesson is customised to meet the unique vocal needs and goals of each student. I take the time to break down intricate vocal techniques, such as breath support, pitch accuracy, and vocal flexibility, into simple, actionable steps that students can easily incorporate into their singing. In addition to traditional vocal techniques, I introduce innovative methods such as vocal exercises, performance coaching, and musical theory to build a well-rounded skill set. I also encourage students to explore their musical interests, helping them develop their individual sound and artistic identity. Whether preparing for a major audition or building confidence in casual performances, I offer structured, clear guidance that fosters growth and self-expression. Many of my students have gone on to achieve success in competitive music programmes, start their own music careers, and perform on stage with confidence. I am deeply committed to helping students not only improve their vocal skills but also develop the confidence and passion to pursue their musical dreams.
