About Joy
My name is okwa joy Jonathan but you can call me miss joy or Miss J. Am from Nigeria and am 23 years old. A graduate of the University of Calabar.I love teaching because as a teacher, I can positively influence a child's way of thinking or doing. Essentially, I can inspire and I can help students build self-esteem and believe in themselves and their ability to learn, no matter their background or abilities.

From my educational experiences 20 years as a student, 3 years as a private school teacher it wasn't easy but I know that relevance is one of the most important aspects of teaching and learning. I know that as a student, the content I found most relevant was the easiest to learn, so as a teacher, I believe it is my job to help students see the relevance in content they may not find inherently interesting. I know that if I do this, my students will engage in class and be motivated to work outside of class.
