About Sage
As an English tutor with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in English Language and Professional Writing, I am deeply passionate about teaching young readers. My love for children’s literature shapes my teaching style. I believe reading should be fun, engaging, and inspiring. I work with emergent readers and early elementary students to build strong literacy skills. Phonological awareness, reading comprehension, and vocabulary are key areas of focus in my lessons. To bring stories to life, I use picture books, interactive storytelling, and creative play. These activities make lessons memorable and enjoyable. I adapt my teaching to meet each child’s needs and pace. My approach emphasises confidence-building and curiosity. I want children to feel proud of their progress and excited for the next story.
