About Laurence
Experienced musician, specialising in composition and music theory, and graduating with a Masters in Composition from the Royal Academy of Music in 2017, following the completion of a BA in Music from the University of York in 2015.
Alongside classical training, I have a lot of experience with popular, folk and choral music - I am the lead singer and songwriter in a band that has been played on national radio, have performed extensively with choirs of different genres and disciplines throughout my life, and am experienced with teaching music to people of all abilities and ages.
I'm looking to help newcomers discover their potential in songwriting, composing and poetry.

1. A mixture of short exercises focusing on technique/core skills.
2. Free creative expression - week-by-week development and feedback on creative endeavours
3. Exploration of artistic stimuli.
I am also able to teach for exam preparation, in accordance with school syllabuses.
