About Touba

Assalamu Alaikum, My name is Tooba, and I will be teaching foundational Quran reading skills for beginners through the Noorani Qaida (Basic Quran Reading Guide).

This course is designed for those who are just starting out, as well as for anyone who wishes to strengthen and improve their Quran reading skills. Having been brought up in an Arabic-speaking country, I was blessed to learn Quran reading and Islamic studies under the guidance of knowledgeable teachers.

Like any other organ, the brain also requires continuous practice and exercise to stay active and well-regulated.
I will try my best to apply proven methodologies that enhance students’ learning and make the process more effective.

Repetition Method:
My main focus will be on the repetition method. The repetition method is a CLASSIC and highly effective teaching technique, especially in Noorani Qaida and Quran learning. It means practicing the same letters, sounds, or verses multiple times until they become natural and easy to recall.

Why it works?
Builds muscle memory of the tongue.
Strengthens listening and speaking coordination.
Increases confidence and fluency.

Consistency and step-by-step progression:
The method of consistency and step-by-step progression in Noorani Qaida guides students gradually from letters to words and short Surahs, with regular practice. This approach builds strong pronunciation, reinforces learning, boosts confidence as they see their progress, and helps students become fluent and accurate in Quran reading. (In Sha Allah)

Consistency is the key. Consistent practice ensures that learning becomes a habit, reduces confusion, and supports long-term fluency in Quran reading.

See, Hear and Write:
I will also encourage students to write in order to engage multiple senses. (if that will support learning process depends on the student)

Teacher–Student Echo Technique:
The teacher reads aloud, and the student repeats immediately, reinforcing correct sounds and rhythm.

Interactive Engagement:
Asking students to practice reading daily, with short revision sessions throughout our journey to keep previous lessons strong.
