About Maya
I am a cellist of 11 years. Currently a Music Performance Major at Brigham Young University.
I have competed in many festivals and exams from a young age, and have won 1st in all of them. I have performed in numerous groups, consisting of duos, trios, quartets, jazz combos and orchestras.
I play a wide range of music, from baroque to jazz, pop to movie instrumentals, I play it all.
My training consists of accomplished cello teachers, and masterclasses with world-renowned cellists.
Cello is my passion, and I aspire to help people find their musical passion-especially with the cello, as it is the best instrument!

- how to read cello music
- how to practice on your own
- essential practice tips
- your first few songs!
