About SIMTHEMBILE

Hello! My name is Simthembile, also known as Sim, and I'm excited to connect with you. I am an English and Spanish educator. My passion for education stems from a belief that every student has the potential to succeed, and I strive to create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exploring different cultures through travel and cuisine. I love reading, particularly fiction that expands my understanding of the world, and I'm also an avid football player. These interests not only enrich my life but also inform my teaching, allowing me to bring real-world experiences into our lessons. I look forward to sharing this journey of learning with you!

About the lesson

I use a student-centered approach that focuses on:

Interactive Learning: Students actively participate in discussions and group work.
Real-World Examples: Lessons connect to everyday life, making learning relevant.
Separate Language Instruction: I teach English and Spanish as distinct languages, along with mathematics.
Regular Feedback: I provide ongoing assessment to help students track their progress.
Growth Mindset: I encourage students to see challenges as opportunities to learn.
