About Maria Ximena

I am a Colombian writer with a major in Literature and a minor in Arts specialized in journalism. I am a fan of linguistics and language in general. My students know they can share with me their issues or concerns. I consider myself a mindful listener who gives 100% attention to my students. My main goal is finding the best way to connect with each one of them.

I've been studying with Maria for years. She's encouraging and patient, and always makes the lessons fun. Even so, she doesn't allow me to get away with poor grammar... expect to put a little effort in on your end as well. I'm not as fluent as some of her other students, as I'm over 65 and don't practice as much as I should. But I get by with intermediate conversational Spanish in Madrid and San Juan, and I now read fluently!
