Learn to sound like a native French speaker with an experienced bilingual instructor

I highly recommend Emma Kwasnica as your French language instructor. Emma has a talent that is unique in the teaching of this beautiful language. I had never experienced this technique before I met Emma which involves learning how to phonetically sound out words (my previous teachers had never emphasized phonetics). This technique helped me to understand how to form the sounds of the language in a much clearer fashion. Besides her Masters in Phonetics, Emma brings to the lesson her passion for her life’s work and her desire to impart to the student the love of the French language, cultivated while she lived in France for eight years. Be confident that you are in good hands when you are fortunate to have Emma as your teacher.

Emma has been our French tutor for myself and my 13yo daughter for a few months now. It has been so great having private French lessons to enhance our book and app learning. She teaches the standard French lessons you would get in a school setting but expertly peppers in how the French really talk to each other as well. I love her style of using multi-media tools to help us learn and she explains things in a way that helps the learning stick. I highly recommend her as an excellent french teacher.

Emma is a very intuitive and creative teacher because she loves language and the science behind how we produce sound. This means she can understand why we might be challenged with hearing or creating certain sounds.

And, as a fluent French speaker who spoke English first, she understands why we make the mistakes we do. As a scientist, finding someone who can show me a new way of learning (a language) has been very rewarding; and helped my comprehension of french as the language that it is.

Emma is a great French tutor. She uses songs and books to see what I know and don’t know so she can help me improve. Every week I have her I tell her a little of what happened in the week in French, then she tells me what was incorrect and correct me. I highly recommend Emma if you are new to French or want to expand your vocabulary. 10/10

I have been taking conversational French with Emma for about four months and she is just awesome! She puts a lot of emphasis on pronunciation and helps us in an empowering, gentle way to improve. Highly recommend Emma as a French teacher. Great methodology. My son was able to learn to read and speak some basic French in 10 lessons. She kept him engage the whole time online.
