Depending on your level, we will simulate a real-life project, maybe one of yours. Each session lasts a minimum of one hour. I have had students of all age groups with zero experience in 3D modelling. So, you're welcome.

I have several happy SketchUp students. 3D modelling is fun and easy. In the first lesson, you'll share your screen and start modelling immediately. I'll guide you and give you practical tips to speed up.

I professionally use Revit and Archicad for architectural projects. I previously worked for Graphisoft (Archicad) and helped several users become more confident in Archicad. I'm a certified BIM Manager, so I can help you create templates and improve your workflow. Please visit bimpetus*com for more info.

Other software I've used are Autocad, Rhino & Grasshoppers, Vray, Lumion, Enscape, Solibri, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

  • 1) Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

I started with my uncle's Casio FX-880P and experimented with Basic language. I remember writing simple programs, primarily games. His passion for tech inspired me a lot. It took some time until I had my own PC, but I loved it. I always had freehand sketches and physical models, but being able to reproduce them digitally, play games, or create 3D environments in games and later in architectural software was a breakthrough.
  • 2) What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

Cloud technologies improved my workflow and the field. Sharing photos and files and collaborating on the same drawing, even in 3D models, is game-changing. With the help of machine learning, all of this data will feed the system for quicker answers and create super-smart digital architectural assistants.
  • 3) Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

I am an architect with extensive 3D modelling and coordinating expertise in architectural projects. More specifically, I specialize in managing information in the cloud by following regulations and procedures. This helps us have fewer issues on site, be more efficient, and save costs by finding potential problems in advance.
  • 4) Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

Steve Jobs's way of combining creativity and technology is my go-to plan. I love doing both, especially keeping the user in the centre of everything. On the other hand, I also enjoy following Peter Zumthor's projects. His technical simplicity and artistic skills are jaw-dropping.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I have a Turkish podcast called Arkilog. It's about architecture. We discussed the ways and difficulties of working as an architect in Canada with an expert in his field. Later, he told me that someone had found him at an event and mentioned that she had decided to move after that episode. Helping other architects in their journey by creating a platform and sharing knowledge are truly amazing feelings.
  • 6) What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

Since the early days, IT-related products and interfaces were usually 'created' by engineers, not by designers. Moreover, even the designer cannot easily understand or foresee our needs and the level of the end users. Now, millions of people use the more advanced, more complicated version of early-day computers, modems and phones. So, it can be challenging! However, don't worry too much about making mistakes. It's the best way of learning. Make sure you have a backup :)
  • 7) What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Of course, architecture and design, specifically, improve people's daily lives by designing or creating systems. That's where I feel more satisfied, giving back to the community.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in IT?

    8) What makes you a Superprof in IT?

I am practical, love what I do, and communicate clearly. IT should be fun, especially learning and creating. I am doing my best to keep things simple and fun. I also follow the latest technologies and new tools to stay up-to-date.
