About Alex
Presently a Junior Fellow at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, I bring over two decades of experience from global opera tours with companies like Columbia Artists and Grange Park Opera. Over the years I have given vocal coaching to more than 500 students. Some of them have become professionals and have won established singing competitions. My extensive background encompasses singing Lieder at festivals such as The Hay-on-Wye Music Festival, Oratorio, and my original operatic compositions. I continue to perform in concerts, oratorio, recitals and opera.

With a nurturing and relaxed approach, I develop students' vocal technique while addressing performance concerns like confidence and stage presence. As a trained music therapist, I provide a distinctive, person-centred perspective. I work with various choirs and ensembles and teach a wide range of abilities. I use a bel-canto-oriented teaching style, informed by my training in Germany and Hungary with renowned singers like Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Many of my students have embarked on professional careers.
