About Mark
I'm a professional singer, voice teacher, and movement educator. I began studying music as a young child immersed in the world of musical theatre. I completed a degree in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia and began teaching voice lessons in 2011. I established a home voice studio and have taught for numerous music schools in the Lower Mainland area of Greater Vancouver. In 2014 I began a one-year contract teaching voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I currently maintain my home studio in Vancouver with both in-person and online lessons.

I base my lessons on each student's individual needs, goals, and understanding of music. Each lesson begins with vocal exercises and technical skills to create a strong life-long foundation and vocal health. The remainder of the lesson focuses on songs and repertoire to crate confidence in singing and to explore the joy of singing. Technical exercises are based on the Bel-Canto style of singing and help to expand breath capacity, vocal range and stamina.
