About David
Hi, I'm David. I've been working in film and video production since 2012. My experience has been mainly focused on cinematography, editing and production of narrative, documentary and commercial content.
I have worked with large and small brands, such as Samsung, Coca-Cola, Smart, among others. In 2020 one of my films was pre-nominated for the Oscars. We didn't win :(, "Parasite" was a pretty strong contender, but hey, we still have a lot to learn and improve.
I attended film school in the US, where I pursued an MFA degree in Film Production, mentored by Hollywood veterans, such as the screenwriter of Superman or James Bond, or the director of Saturday Night Fever.
In addition to my academic background and practical experience in actual production, I have also been a university professor and film instructor for different institutions in Latin America and Asia. I currently live in Cambodia (GMT +7).

With me you will learn everything you need to know in order to get started in the video creation realm and make professional quality content, be it for your own YouTube show, to advertise your business attractively or to make unforgettable short films.
We will follow the production model applied in Hollywood, that is, the American model, since it is the method which I was trained and specialize in.
The sessions are theoretical-practical: I teach you the theory, I clarify your doubts and at the end I assign practical exercises for you learn deeper by taking your camera and actually shooting. In the following classes we will analyze your exercises and I will give you my recommendations on what to improve.
CONTENTS

1. Fundamentals of Video Production
2. What you need to know and have before making a video
3. How to generate ideas and develop your story (Development)
4. How to prepare your project before recording (Pre-Production)
5. How to choose the right tools (camera, lights, etc.)
6. Who are the different team members and what do they do?
7. How to use the camera
8. How to light
9. How to record sound
10. Things to keep in mind when recording
11. How to edit and colorize your video (Post-production)
12. How to edit and mix your sound
13. How to properly export the video and distribute it (on YouTube, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
- Video camera (ideally at least a DSLR or Mirrorless with manual mode and interchangeable lenses, but if this is not possible, then even a phone with good resolution would do)
- A computer with Premiere Pro (to learn about Post-production)
- Willingness to learn and good vibes
AVAILABILITY
Saturdays and Sundays: 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11am and 2pm (Spain time zone)
ABOUT THE CLASSES
My classes are aimed at beginners, with little or no previous knowledge, who want to start or advance in Video or Audiovisual Production until reaching high or professional quality.
The rhythm of the classes is set by you. If you feel like I'm going too fast, you can ask me to stop, re-explain and voila, so no fear! My goal is for you to learn.
COURSE TYPE
Finally, please keep in mind that my classes are sequential (like a course), following a fixed content structure that I have carefully put together to take you from the basics to the advanced topics without leaving you overwhelmed.
