About Manik
I was born in Yerevan, Armenia and later moved to Los Angeles, CA at the age of three where I have since resided. I am bilingual, both American Sign Language and Armenian as native languages. I attended California State University, Northridge where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Deaf Studies. I have done private ASL tutoring for five years for college students as well as families with deaf children. I've taught/worked with Apple Inc. and Abbott for two years, taught high school and elementary level at Learning Beyond the Book (homeschool program). Teaching students and families about Deaf Culture and American Sign Language is my passion. Fun tidbits: I love cooking, reading, and spending time with my family.

Whether you want to learn, improve your signing, need a tutor for your ASL test/assignment/class, practice ASL conversation, practice fingerspelling, or you just want to learn for fun. I am here to guide you through your ASL journey! :)
Prior to teaching ASL and materials in-depth, I take the opportunity to establish connections with my students, mentors, or participants utilizing the Natural Approach in which I ensure the learners be relaxed and comfortable to ask questions, to be curious and to immerse themselves in our world. My obligation as a Deaf ASL educator is to provide support and ensure your success as you become involved within the Deaf community and learn ASL!
