About Kenneth

Hello! I usually work in technical sales for a Japanese company. I studied electrical and electronic engineering at a Japanese university and graduate school, and in my work I have many opportunities to communicate not only with Japanese people but also with people from overseas. I myself am studying English and Spanish, so I understand the difficulties of learning a foreign language and the feeling of "I understand, but I can't speak it." In my lessons, I can support you with everyday conversation, natural Japanese, honorifics, expressions used in the workplace, emails, and business conversations. Rather than rigid lessons, I value having fun and speaking a lot. It's perfectly fine to make mistakes! I will create easy-to-talk-to and practical lessons tailored to each person's goals and level. Let's learn natural Japanese together!

About the lesson

In my lessons, I prioritize transforming "Japanese you know" into "Japanese you can actually speak"! I tailor the lessons to each student's level and goals, focusing on conversation practice in real-life situations such as everyday conversation, travel, life in Japan, work, and business Japanese. In each lesson, we begin with simple conversations to assess your current level and areas of difficulty, then practice conversations, expressions, and vocabulary related to the chosen theme. For incorrect expressions, I don't just provide the correct answer; I also clearly explain "how a native speaker would naturally say it"! Leveraging my extensive experience working in Japanese companies, I can also support you in using Japanese in business settings, including honorifics, emails, meetings, presentations, and workplace communication. Furthermore, having personally learned foreign languages, I understand the difficulties of foreign language learning. For beginners, I can explain using English or Spanish. Beginners to advanced learners are welcome. Don't be afraid of making mistakes; let's speak a lot and learn natural and confident Japanese together!
