About Lara

Olá, eu sou a Lara!! :)

I’m a native Brazilian with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, and as a multicultural enthusiast, I can speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and Swedish. My lessons are student-centred and practical: I focus on conversation, vocabulary and clear pronunciation from the very first class, using original materials, listening exercises and real cultural topics to make learning-a-new-language a memorable and useful experience.

I understand how learning only from grammar books can leave gaps in everyday speech — having lived in Sweden, I felt the small daily losses that come with not knowing the language: missed jokes, awkward exchanges, and the urge to hide rather than speak. Now I design lessons to bridge these gaps with real conversational practice and day-to-day vocabulary.

Expect a warm, patient environment where lessons are tailored to your goals, whether you want travel phrases, workplace language, or deeper cultural immersion.

About the lesson

Practical, online Brazilian Portuguese lessons designed for real travel and everyday situations. From your first class, you’ll practise useful phrases, pronunciation and conversational skills for ordering food, getting around, and connecting with locals, with lessons adapted to your itinerary and pace. The lessons are fully personalised to your goals and interests, blending cultural themes — music, food and local expressions — to make learning meaningful and memorable. The meetings are flexible in length (from short 15‑minute conversations to 90‑minute sessions), delivered via Skype or Google Meet, and supported by original slides that include vocabulary lists and audio practice. Recommended for ages 16–60.
