About Shelly

I was born and raised in the Caribbean and began playing the piano at the tender age of 4. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6 and participated in Young Musicians on Stage at age 9. I became more passionate about music as I grew older so I took some music courses while attending Rutgers University and also sang in the University choir.

About the lesson

I will teach you the same methods of reading music and playing the piano that I've learned as a child which have been proven to be effective. You will also learn how to play scales and chords which will improve your ability to play by ear sound quickly.

Perfect! Shelly was such an amazing instructor. She conducted my first every piano lesson and I was extremely comfortable with working with her. It was as if she wasn't a stranger. That comfort led me to feeling very confident in my progression and how much I am looking forward to reaching my goal.

It was an absolute pleasure to teach Marques to play the piano. He’s a beginner and he came very prepared for his 1st class as he reviewed the materials that were sent to him the day prior. Looking forward to working more with Marques so that he can play his favorite music.
