About Tiffany
Tiffany Connell grew up in East Orlando as a homeschooled kid who, at the age of six, started to learn the piano from a family friend and never looked back. Piano, music theory, songwriting, and composition began to fill every spare minute. She continued to explore many other instruments - percussion, guitar, & strings. While working toward her Piano Performance undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida she was the lead pianist and one of the composers for the New Music Ensemble as well as the Percussion Ensemble. She was commissioned by percussionist Thad Anderson for an original premiere work. She followed this degree with another BA in Music Composition for Media from Berklee College of Music and completed her academic studies with a Master of Fine Arts in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College in Chicago. Post-graduating, Tiffany moved to LA for a summer internship with composer Mac Quayle and recorded her orchestral thesis at Warner Bros Studios. She has taught music lessons since she was around thirteen years old. “It was my first job. I would just go over to the neighborhood houses.” From there, teaching has been steady. She has freelanced, worked in a studio teaching private lessons at Beats and Tunes in Longwood FL, and worked as a teaching assistant all throughout graduate school. Tiffany has dreamed of living in California since she was 18yr old. She also has experience music directing and playing lead keys for Circuit Riders and a number of churches. She teaches to play both by ear and reading music. In her time outside of teaching and pursuing her own artistry she enjoys fitness, church community, and being outdoors.

With two decades of piano experience under her belt and more than half of those years spent teaching music, she is able to approach teaching from a variety of angles. If songwriting is your goal, or playing in a band, just for fun, or for school, whatever your reason to start lessons may be, every student learns differently and has differing goals. A one-stop curriculum is not the reality of music lessons anymore. We must progress with the industry. I tailor each lesson to each student.
