Learn physics in such a way that it is easy to understand and explanation rather to memorize as when we understand it's easy for us to remember for long term and never be forgotten as time passes. Let's take an example of how a force is defined in an easy method
F=ma
Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration of an object. As acceleration is a vector quantity, the force is also a vector quantity. The S.I unit of mass is kg and the S.I unit of acceleration is m/s^2. So the S.I unit of force is kgm/s^2, which is also known as Newton.
