About Manash

I am a Tabla player of Farrukhabad Gharana and a disciple of Pt. Sujit Saha of Kolkata, a doyen of Farrukhabad Gharana, a disciple of Ustad Keramatullah Khan and Padmabhushan Pt. Jnan Prakash Ghosh. I have also learned from my Guruji Lt. Sh. Manik Lal Deb, Guwahati, a disciple of Ustad Munne Khan, and Sh. Asish Chakraborty, a disciple of Pt. Anindo Chatterjee. I am imparting methodical and quality lessons in Tabla. I am proficient in both solo and accompaniment in Hindustani classical music. I have also played solo and accompaniment with vocal and instrumental in A.I.R. and Doordarshan and also in local channels. I am also an external examiner of Music board Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow and a recipient of SCL Rhythms Maestro Award in Tabla.

About the lesson

Classes are based on imparting methodological, technique and quality bol-bani to students. Also, I provide accompaniment on Nagma lehra during classes to all students so that they gain confidence in laykari and can also learn improvisation on their own.
