I treat our online sessions like a live newsroom.
Instead of lecturing from textbooks, I use the "I Do, We Do, You Do" technique. I share my screen to show you a real-world writing or editing problem. Next, we break it down together in real time using Google Docs.
Finally, you apply the skill yourself while I give you immediate, supportive feedback. My goal is to build your confidence through actual practice, turning complex writing rules into simple, repeatable habits.
Four-Part Lesson Plan:
1. Learn about the Hooks that can get you to the Front Page.
2. Editorial Briefing where I introduce the core skill for the day depending on what focus/category/type you chose.
3. Live Writing Practice - We dive into a canvas or Google Docs where we collaborate
4. Closing - Summarization of Key Takeaways, and set a small practical writing prompt for the next session.
I am not just an English tutor; I am an award-winning Editor-in-Chief and Published STEM Scholar. Having won multiple Journalism competitions and managed real student publications, I know exactly what judges and editors look for. Because I have a background in both competitive journalism and quantitative research, I teach a rare combination: highly creative writing built on strict, data-driven logic and analytical structure.
