About Maeve

I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and I come from a deeply musical family. I’ve played classical piano since I was 8, and while I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, I began formal voice lessons at 12 when I started attending a performing arts school. That experience opened the door to performing at a young age, including opportunities to sing with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.

I went on to study voice and songwriting at Berklee College of Music, where I truly honed my artistic style and began performing regularly around the city. During my time in Boston, I had the opportunity to sing throughout the city, including a weekly a cappella series in downtown Boston. It was also at Berklee that I began teaching voice students, discovering how much I loved helping others grow into their own voices.

After moving to New York, I continued building my teaching career and had the opportunity to work with a music company where I taught around ten students a week. Teaching has become one of my greatest passions, and I love helping students develop confidence, healthy technique, and their own unique artistic voice.

About the lesson

I’m a Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in voice and songwriting, and I’ve been performing professionally since I was 16. Over the last few years, I’ve taught voice to students ages 8 to 15 through music academies and private lessons, working with styles like theater, pop, jazz, and rock. I love helping students not only learn how to sing, but also how to be an artist. I encourage each student to explore their own unique sound while making sure they are using healthy and safe vocal technique. My goal is to create a supportive, fun environment where students can build confidence, express themselves, and grow in whatever direction excites them most.
