About Chris

I have been playing guitar for nearly 15 years and have experience in almost any style/genre you could think of.

In the 5 years or so that i have been teaching guitar i have probably taught over 100 pupils of all ages and experience levels, both in group sessions, masterclasses, and 1 on 1 lessons. Many of my pupils have went on to achieve distinctions in their exams all the way up until Grade 8 standard.

About the lesson

While it is very important to achieve qualifications, as a tutor i tend to put more focus on your personal development as an overall musician and instrumentalist. Of course if you wish i will coach you through your grades all the way up until diploma level if you wish. However, my interests lie in coaching you through your personal passion projects within music, such as:

- Helping you to play in a new style
- Giving you feedback on your musical contributions to a band or ensemble which you are a part of
- Being a support network for you to discover new things you are passionate about within music.

For the foreseeable future i am only accepting online lessons.

Has a good basic knowledge of chord shapes, looking more in depth at strumming and chord changes. Very receptive to the process and a pleasure to teach!

Excellent! This was my first ever guitar lesson, had some technical difficulty's with webcam but Chris explained everything so simple and well that it wasn't a problem!

I've come away, with a good direction of how to improve and practice by myself and will definitely be using him for future lessons.

Having worked with him in numerous projects he consistently shows his deep understanding of the production process when working with both musicians and other producers. Chris has also showed to me the friendly and engaging way he brakes down his ideas to help further my knowledge within music production within a professional setting, this among his many other talents makes him a perfect candidate for teaching production to people who have never tried it all the way to people who are well versed with production and production software.

She has flourished from a total beginner, through to being confident enough to attempt her own music. His teaching style is firm but fair and he has a very good manner with children. Very reasonably priced as well which is a bonus.
