About Sushma
Hello!
I’m Sushma, an Indian living and working in Germany, and I have a deep passion for the German language. Over the years, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of learning German as a non-native speaker — from starting as a complete beginner to eventually reaching fluency at the C1 level. Along the way, I learned strategies, shortcuts, and practical methods that truly help learners progress faster.
I want to teach German because I genuinely enjoy helping others discover the joy of learning a new language. I understand what it feels like to struggle with grammar or vocabulary, and I take pride in guiding my students step by step so they can build confidence, speak naturally, and enjoy the process.
As a professional living in Germany, I also bring real-world experience and practical insights into my lessons. I’m Sushma, a C1-level German speaker living and working in Germany, and I’m passionate about helping beginners learn German in a practical and enjoyable way.
Having gone through the entire journey myself — from starting as a complete beginner, hitting plateaus, and eventually reaching fluency — I know what works and what can feel challenging. In my classes, I share tips, tricks, and strategies that helped me improve quickly, alongside structured lessons in grammar, vocabulary, and conversation.
A typical lesson includes:
1. Warm-up and review of previous topics
2. Introduction of new concepts with practical examples
3. Speaking practice and exercises
4. Suggestions for self-study between classes
I aim to create a supportive and interactive environment where learners feel confident trying out the language, asking questions, and gradually building their skills.
My classes are designed for beginners, expats and professionals who want to start speaking German online, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation for further learning. I focus on helping students progress steadily, without making unrealistic promises, so you can see practical improvement over time.
I also offer a free trial class so you can experience my teaching style and see if it’s the right fit for you before committing. We can of course align the timing that works for both of us (For both trial and actual classes)
