About David

Hello everyone, and welcome to my profile!

I am a language teacher specializing in English, German and French, and I hold Master's degrees from the University of Rennes II and the University of Glasgow.

With a strong academic background and experience living abroad in the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria, my teaching combines solid academic foundations with first-hand knowledge of the culture and authentic language use of these countries, acquired through extended stays abroad.

My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each learner.

I offer:

- Exam and certification preparation (Baccalauréat, DELF, TOEFL, TOEIC, Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF)
- Academic support at school and university level
- Language development for professional purposes and relocation abroad
- Improvement of speaking skills and conversational fluency

My approach begins with an initial assessment of the learner's level and objectives, allowing me to build a targeted and progressive learning programme.

I am available for an initial conversation to assess your needs and discuss the most suitable approach for your lessons.

About the lesson

My lessons can be adpated to a wide range of needs, including:

- Academic support (middle school and high school)
- Preparation for studying or relocating to a French-speaking country
- Improving French for university studies
- Professional development: adding French as a new skill
- Taking your French further out of a passion for the language and Francophone culture
- Learning French from scratch as a complete beginner

Each 55-minute lesson is fully tailored to your level and objectives, with a strong focus on active language practice.

Lessons are open to all levels, from complete beginner to advanced.

Perfect! I was looking for a French language teacher who is fluent in English, and David is a good choice. He is able to come up with lessons in accordance to my level in French and also easy to talk to about the parts of the course that I wanted to focus on and when I ask about something, he explains it in detail. During sessions, he is very patient whenever I'm slow to understand parts of the lesson and is also a good listener which makes the classes more interactive, and that's what makes a good teacher. Looking forward to learning more and eventually be able to confidently speak French.

J'ai fait deux ans de cours avec David en allemand et en anglais pour préparer mes examens et tout s'est bien passé! Ces cours (en visio) étaient clairs et m'ont bien faite progresser tout du long de ces deux ans. :)
