About Marc
Bonjour! My name is Marc, I am French and my mother tongue is French. I studied law and economics at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), then continued my studies at Oxford University, where I currently live. During my studies, I gained professional experience in Paris, Boston, Brussels and Rome, which greatly increased my ability to adapt and build relationships of trust with students and professionals from very different backgrounds. Having grown up and studied in France, and now studying in an English-speaking environment, I understand both the challenges and benefits of learning a new language. I speak French, English and Spanish, which helps me to easily connect with students from different backgrounds and adapt my explanations to their learning styles.

As a native French speaker and graduate student at the University of Oxford (Public Policy) and the École Normale Supérieure (Law and Economics), I combine academic rigour with a clear, engaging teaching style. Originally from Paris, I have been tutoring French students for the past three years to help them prepare for the competitive ENS entrance exam. My approach is fully tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re learning French for academic success, professional development, or personal enrichment. I design classes around your interests, be it literature, cinema, history, business, politics, nature or sports. This personalised, interactive method helps build a relationship of trust and confidence — the foundation for real progress in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The classes will, depending on your starting level, be fully or partly in French, highlighting vocabulary, idioms, grammar, or conjugation regarding your needs. This flexible method makes my lessons suitable for any level and age. It would typically last 1 hour but this can be adapted depending on your preferences and schedule.
