About Jeevan

Namaste! I am Jeevan, a professional bansuri (Indian bamboo flute) teacher from Patna. I hold a Master’s degree in Music, have cleared UGC-NET, and have been teaching bansuri for over 9+ years. Along with online teaching since 2017, I also have experience as a government college music teacher. I received my training from the Faculty of Performing Arts, IIT BHU, and I belong to the authentic Banaras Gharana tradition. This gives my teaching both the academic depth and the spiritual essence of Indian classical music. On this platform, there may be many flute teachers, but with me you’ll be in the right hands — learning bansuri in its most authentic and traditional form, while also exploring bhajans, Bollywood, meditation music, and classical ragas. I believe bansuri is not just an instrument, it’s a path to peace, focus, and joy. I ensure that every student, beginner or advanced, feels progress and inspiration in every class."*

About the lesson

There are many flute teachers on this platform, but what makes my teaching unique is my authentic training and qualifications. I have a Master’s in Music, cleared the UGC-NET exam, and learned bansuri directly under the guidance of faculty from IIT BHU, Faculty of Performing Arts. Being a descendant of the Banaras Gharana, my teaching reflects the authentic tradition of this great lineage. When you learn from me, you are not just learning tunes, but experiencing the depth, purity, and soul of Indian classical music. What you will learn: Correct posture, grip, and blowing technique for bansuri Finger placement and sur practice (building solid basics) Alankars and advanced exercises to strengthen your playing Songs, bhajans, Bollywood melodies, and classical compositions Foundation of Indian Classical Music (ragas, alap, taans) Banaras Gharana style and authentic playing techniques How the class works: One-to-one personalized guidance (online via Zoom/Google Meet) Authentic gharana-based training with modern clarity Class notes, recordings, and practice guidance after each session Flexible slots for working professionals, school/college students With me, you’ll be in the right hands of tradition, authenticity, and expertise — where learning bansuri becomes not just a skill, but a soulful experience."*

What impressed me the most was the progress I made in a short time. By the third class itself, I was already able to play a complete tune, which gave me a lot of confidence and motivation.
