About Cristina

I am a Flamenco dancer and multidisciplinary artist with nearly 20 years of experience. I trained in Granada and Madrid with renowned dancers such as Concha Jareño, Marcos Flores, and Farruquito. My career has taken me to international festivals like the Ankara International Flamenco Festival (2013) and prestigious tablaos such as Los Tarantos (Barcelona), Café Zyriab (Madrid), and Alegrías La Nacional (NYC). I have collaborated with acclaimed dancers such as Juan Carlos Lérida and Karen Lugo. Beyond the stage, my work extends to video dance, with pieces showcased at festivals like Mimi Screendance Festival and the Festival de CineDanza de Módena (Italy). In 2023/24, I was an artist-in-residence at the Centre d'Art Santa Mònica in Barcelona, where I deepened my research on movement and performance. I currently live and work in New York City, continuing to develop my artistic projects. I've been teaching Flamenco for over 20 years to children and grown-ups, in groups or private lessons

I’ve taken two classes with Cris and wow… I wasn’t expecting them to be so intense (in the best way possible). It honestly felt like I did an hour of cardio, but I left feeling super energized and with a little more understanding of flamenco.
