About Marie-Claire
With my background as a classical singer I've learned to translate from many different languages. Not only do I need to understand the literal translation of a text/song, but also what the subtext is. What is someone trying to say? This often goes hand in hand with the historical and cultural context. I enjoy passing on these skills in relationship to Dutch, my mother tongue. A language I have learned so much more about since living in the UK for 7 years.

Learn Dutch in an interactive, fun and individually tailored way.
Learning a language doesn't have to be hard, it has to be interesting. Each student has his/her own reasons to learn Dutch. I anticipate on their reasons and level and create lessons from there. Not only do we focus on reading/writing, listening/speaking in the lessons, we also talk about the culture and what is meant by what is being said.
