About Francisco
Passionate about body movement and cultural manifestations, Francisco moved to Brazil in 2014, where he spent 6 months working in the self-sustaining community "Kilombo Tenondé" where he learned Capoeira Angola with Mestre "Cobra Mansa". Capoeira Angola was the first contact she had with dance. In 2017 he entered the contemporary dance career at the University of Guadalajara where a few months later he was invited to participate in a research-creation project that was presented in Guadalajara and in Bogotá, Colombia at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. In 2018 he was invited again to participate in an interdisciplinary project (dance, theater, audiovisual) and in a performance act that was presented at the International University Theater Festival in Manizales, Colombia. During 2019 he was selected in Guadalajara to carry out a training program with the Budapest Dance Theater company in Hungary. Before the pandemic, he had several performances in the country with the piece "Bolero" by the choreographer Raza Hammadi. During the pandemic, she stopped dancing for a while to satisfy her movement needs and began to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) competing in Serbia, Rome, Guadalajara, Cancún and Monterrey. He is currently rediscovering his movement from research in dance techniques and martial arts.
He has given multiple workshops at the University of Guadalajara and is passionate about teaching in an easy and forceful way.

As a teacher I focus on teaching the fundamentals of contemporary dance so that any student, regardless of their level, is able to perform dance choreographies and discover the possibilities that their body has. The class goes through a warm-up, mobility exercises, discovering the force of gravity and using it to your advantage, and building dance phrases together from internal and external stimuli.
