About Oviya

I am a Grade 8 Trinity-certified opera vocalist with a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary music. My musical journey includes over 6 years of training in Indian classical music, 4 years of learning guitar, and focused training in opera, where I have completed Grade 8 and am currently preparing for my ATCL diploma. I am also currently representing India at the Belvedere Competition.

Alongside performance, I have earned a diploma in music production and sound engineering, allowing me to understand music from both an artistic and technical perspective. I continue to develop my skills in piano and overall musicianship, giving me a well-rounded and versatile approach to music.

I have performed at multiple events and have also been featured on FM Tadka, gaining valuable live and media experience.

As a mentor, my goal is to help students build a strong vocal foundation while discovering their unique sound. I work with singers across all levels—from complete beginners to advanced performers—guiding them in voice culture, technique, and expressive performance across genres like opera, pop, and contemporary.

With structured guidance and individual attention, students are also prepared for international-level competitions with confidence and artistic excellence.

A typical class begins with guided warm-ups and technical exercises, followed by focused work on songs or pieces. This includes targeted vocal exercises, repertoire-based learning, ear training, and performance coaching. Each lesson is highly personalized, adapting to the student’s level, goals, and vocal range.
