About Vikram
I am Vikram Mavlankar, a FIDE-rated chess player and coach with a peak Elo rating of 2089 and over 20 years of chess experience. I provide personalized 1-to-1 online coaching for children, beginners, adults, intermediate and tournament players. My lessons focus on tactics, calculation, strategy, openings, endgames and game analysis. I teach students to understand chess and think independently, rather than simply memorize moves. My lessons are practical, interactive and completely adapted to the student's level and goals.
Rather than simply teaching students what move to play, I focus on helping them understand why the move works and how to think independently.

Details
My online 1-to-1 chess coaching fee is $15 per 60-minute session.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student's age, playing level and goals. Sessions may include tactical training, calculation, strategy, openings, endgames, game analysis and tournament preparation.

I also offer an introductory/trial session for new students so we can understand their current level and discuss their chess improvement goals.
Lessons are conducted online with flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones.
