About Luisa

Quem sou eu? My name is Luisa Andrade, I'm an International Relations student in Brazil. I've been teaching Portuguese and English for two years now, with experience in translation from Portuguese to English! I am a researcher in International Relations, with developed scientific research in civil wars, gender and feminism. I am in love with art, theatre and music, and eager to learn about people from different parts of the world and their cultures. Teaching and seeing people learning about Brazil and all of the things that make my country and my culture is truly a pleasure. My teaching style is adapted to the students' needs and routine. The focus is on conversation, listening and speaking, but adaptable to the interests and Portuguese level you are on. Hope we can make the most out of our lessons! Até as nossas aulas!

About the lesson

Olá! Como vai?

The lessons are tailored and adapted to the students needs and goals with the Portuguese language. I work with alphabetising to preparation for proficiency exams in portuguese. After our first class, we'll use a free learning platform, where you can access the syllabus, tests, books, videos, and other materials.

My classes are light and fun, adopting not only aspects of brazilian culture (art, literature, gastronomy, holidays, etc.), but the interests of the student. The focus is on conversation, and, as the student progress in the learning of the language, the classes will be in Portuguese.

The communication is adapted to what is best for the student, whether it's e-mail or other messaging apps, like WhatsApp.
