About Alex
I spent two years in Italy, during which time I pushed myself to speak with others and practice good speaking habits. After returning home, I found a job teaching Italian at a first-year university level and later worked as a professional interpreter for five years after that. I have experience working with new learners and look forward to helping new learners grow their skills in my favorite foreign language!

I like to use simple textbooks and conversation to both see and hear Italian as Italians actually speak it. An Italian lesson with me is 30 minutes of reading, listening and speaking. I lived in Italy for two years and was employed as a professional Italian interpreter and an Italian teacher for more than five years, so I have experience in those Italian language skills and am happy to share what I know! Lessons with me are intended for new learners of all ages looking to improve their skills.
