About Central Music Institute

Jatin Kapoor is a multi-faceted record producer, mix engineer, acclaimed guitarist & performer with 15 years of experience as a session player and worldwide touring artist. Winner of prestigious awards and hailed amongst the top guitar players in Southern Asia, he's considered a rebel with a guitar with his virtuosic abilities in the realm of funk jazz, rock, wicked fretless blues, micro tonal-ism & everything in between.

His remarkable open-minded and versatile approach to his art form has made him a “first call” player & lead to many headline tour events, with a diverse cast of renowned musicians around the globe. His vast array of experience ranges from scoring music for movies to giving jingles to many critically acclaimed ad campaigns in the country, with expertise in studio production as well as live performance using a variety of controllers, synths, drum machines and string instruments.

Besides his artistic career, he has never lost his passion for teaching. He regularly conducts computer-based music workshops in universities and trains music teachers in using computer software. He is particularly interested in implementing music software in traditional music courses.
As an educator, his focus is that his students "find their own voice". This, he says, trains the students' creative reflexes and helps them express themselves in their own voice, because everyone will use these ideas in a different way.

Through guided work, you will develop the ability to discern the quality of produced music using well-established criteria, research and critically assessed composition and production practices, and develop your very own unique methods to compose and produce original music and to programme, layer and sculpt sounds, as well as utilise Dynamic Processors like Compressors, EQ's (Digital & Analogue) and other FX based forms of processing such as Delay, Reverb and Modulation to bring your ideas to life.
