About Hannah

I'm a certified high school art teacher with a Master's degree in Art Education and 7 years of classroom experience. While I love teaching studio art, I have a deep passion for art history—especially helping students connect historical movements to the world around them today. I believe art history should be engaging, relevant, and even fun, and I strive to create a comfortable, conversational environment where students feel excited to learn and ask questions. Whether you're studying for a test or just curious about the stories behind great works of art, I'm here to help you see history through a creative lens.

About the lesson

As a tutor with a Master’s degree in Art Education, I approach art history as a dynamic, story-driven subject that connects culture, creativity, and critical thinking. Rather than memorizing dates and names, my lessons focus on helping students understand the why behind the work—what artists were responding to, how movements developed, and how history continues to shape the art we see today.

Each session is designed to be interactive and discussion-based, often including visual analysis, creative responses, and comparisons across time periods. I tailor lessons to your interests, whether you’re prepping for an AP Art History exam, building context for your studio practice, or just exploring art history for fun. My goal is to make the past feel relevant and alive—and to help you see the world through an artist’s lens.
