I chose Lewis for a mentor during a challenging time in my career when I was stuck, unispired and feeling underappreciated. He really listened and cared to help and support me in the best way possible. His guidance and positivism gave me the confidence boost I needed. After joining ASOS as an intern I was swiftly humbled by how unprepared I was for real world software engineering. Thankfully, Lewis was well aware of this. From day 1 he looked out for me, both in terms of work and outside of work! He sought after pieces of work we could both pair on and went out of his way to ensure I had both a high/low level understanding of the task at hand. Lewis's extensive testing knowledge, especially in Pact testing, helped me develop a strong foundation in real world SWE skills . Aside from the technical skills, Lewis has an incredible amount of patience... which proved handy as I was an intern churning through 101 questions a day! He was more than happy to answer any questions. Finally, Lewis guided/mentored me to seek the answers to deep technical questions without constantly needing to seek help - a vitally underrated skill in SWE.
