About Shan
I’m a Lead Data Scientist with 12+ years of experience across data and analytics and a First Class degree in Mathematics. Python has been a core part of my professional work, including forecasting, pricing, experimentation, machine learning and production data science. I’ve also mentored junior data scientists and enjoy breaking technical problems into clear, manageable steps. I teach the kind of practical Python skills that are useful for university work, personal projects, interviews and real data science jobs.

My Python lessons are practical and built around solving real problems rather than memorising syntax. I can help complete beginners learn the foundations, support students working through data analysis or machine learning projects, or help more experienced learners improve their pandas, data manipulation and problem-solving skills. We can work through exercises, debug your own code together, or build a small project from start to finish. I’ll explain not just what the code does, but why we are using that approach and how to become confident solving similar problems independently.
