About Brendan
Hi everyone. My name is Brendan. I began tutoring since I was in university, in about September 2021, and loved it ever since as it allowed me to leave a mark on a student’s academic journey. I love law (and I am not being sarcastic!), not just for its real-world practical application but its theoretical contemplations, and I love communicating my love for law to other students and helping them love it too – so tutoring seemed right!

I design lesson plans bespoke to your goals. I then invite you to join me in a logical deduction process as we break down the core content of your subject, identify the gaps in your understanding, and bring you clarity that lasts through my explanation. A typical length of a lesson is 1.5 hours for me, which is different from most who opt on a 1 hour basis, as I believe 1.5 hours gives more time to digest, discuss and jointly reflect on the content of law. Trust me it goes by faster than you think! With 500 hours in LNAT tutoring, personal statement drafting, Law subject tutoring and interview preparation, I am positioned to help you make the most of your student years. With teaching experience, an undergraduate Law degree from Cambridge and an LLM from another top university, I promise to bring you value for your money and results for your future. Those suitable to undertake my lessons include A-levels, University and LLM Law students, and students who seek to apply to Cambridge for Law.

Brendan was great in supporting me through my successful law application process to Oxford. He was able to constructively help review my personal statement and suggest improvements, as well as LNAT essay prep in particular and running through mock interviews. He was always supportive and willing to go the extra mile throughout the whole process, and his wide knowledge meant he could always be on hand to resolve almost all my questions and reassure me through stressful times, which I think was a really uniquely strong aspect of him as my tutor.
A classmate recommended Brendan to me while we were both applying for undergraduate law in the UK. He worked with me for about a year. His fees are affordable compared with other tutors, and his schedule is flexible—when needed, I could have lessons up to four times a week.
For the LNAT, Brendan taught useful techniques for the multiple-choice section and clearly explained the abstract, often confusing reasoning behind the answers. He also prepared questions and legal scenarios for mock interviews, then gave encouraging but constructive feedback and showed me how to answer specific questions. After a few weeks of practice, my confidence grew significantly.
Overall, Brendan is one of the most cordial, attentive, and passionate tutors I’ve met, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking law tutoring. My UK and HK application processes were made so much easier with Brendan's help. We had knowledge-building lessons for a year to give me a solid legal knowledge foundation so that the personal statement writing and interviews would be smoother. He helped me with writing strong, coherent personal statements for UCAS and HK universities (super pro at reducing the AI% of the text too, once helped me decrease the AI% from 94% to 0%), as well as LNAT and interview prepping. Throughout all these, Brendan has been extremely supportive and patient, giving me practical advice and detailed, constructive feedback, making every lesson very rewarding. During my interview prep for HKU law, one case study he gave me matched exactly with the actual interview question, which helped me tremendously in presenting a logical and comprehensive analysis, ultimately securing my HKU LLB + LLB & BA double degree offer (I've also secured offers from Durham & Warwick for the UK, still waiting for LSE and KCL). As an extra bonus, Brendan is honestly a really nice person to have a chat with; we've talked about university life, different cultures, and even gossip.
100% recommend him to anyone, you don't even have to be an aspiring law student to be assisted by him - my friend sought his help for a personal statement and secured a medicine offer.Brendan tutored me on the LNAT, and thanks to his help, I got offers from UCL and Durham. He's an excellent tutor who tailored my lessons according to areas in which I wasn't as confident and explained complex concepts in a clear manner. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an LNAT tutor or just a law tutor in general.
Brendan helped me to prepare for my Law interview at Cambridge. He was hugely knowledgeable and always knew exactly how I could improve. His sessions were well-planned, organised and flexible. I would highly recommend Brendan and have now secured an offer from Cambridge.
Brendan was an excellent tutor who conducted a mock interview for Cambridge law admissions for me. He was friendly and welcoming, and helped to ease the nerves of a simulated interview. He was organised in preparing the necessary material before the session, and knew his content well. The session itself was well-conducted. The pace was neither too slow nor too fast, and I could easily follow along and engage with the material. At the end of the session he provided detailed feedback on my performance with objective areas for improvement. In addition, he stayed in contact with me for me to resolve any queries I had regarding the application. I very much appreciated someone who could guide me through the process of applying, and Brendan's help was instrumental in helping me get an offer to Cambridge law.
