About Dorra
I am a student of the IB program and I'm taking English HL Lang and Lit as one of my subjects. I've always been fluent and have had exceptional skills in English, so I can teach it both as a second language, help improve critical thinking, and essay writing. I always get 6s or 7s (seven is the highest achievable grade in an IB subject) on my essays, and before that, it was always As. The last time I tutored someone, she was a high school student in Canada and received the highest grade in her class on her History essay. I have experience teaching both children and teenagers at both a basic level and a more experienced level.

My name is Dorra, and I grew up traveling the world a lot. I also grew up in a big family, so I have a lot of experience with younger children, but I also have experience teaching people in their teen years because I did a little bit of tutoring for students in my class when I was in middle school. I usually give lessons to people who are new to either English as a language, essay writing, or literary analysis. I tend to work better in smaller groups, or with individual students, because I find it easier to teach when I can establish a good bond with the students. I find that in a relaxed environment where the students feel as though they're actively interacting with the content which they're studying, it tends to be much easier and much more efficient for them to learn in, and much more enjoyable. When it comes to how I'd go about teaching content, I'd begin with understanding which level the students themselves are at, then continue to lay out a whole basic sort of picture of what it is they are studying, and then go on to exploring it more in-depth as we go along. Lesson structures would be based on whether we would be studying English as a language, literary analysis, or essay writing, so contact me for more details at (concealed information)
