About Alexandra

Teaching is more than just a profession to me; it's a calling driven by my passion to inspire, empower, and nurture the minds of others. Witnessing the spark of understanding ignite in a student's eyes when they grasp a concept they once found challenging is immensely rewarding.

I am passionate about teaching because I believe in the transformative power of education. It's about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. Every student brings a unique perspective and potential, and as a teacher, I strive to create an inclusive environment where each individual feels valued and supported in reaching their full potential.

Beyond imparting knowledge, teaching allows me to make a positive impact on society by shaping future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. It's a responsibility I cherish, knowing that the lessons taught today can ripple out to create a better tomorrow.

In essence, my passion for teaching stems from the profound belief that education is the key to unlocking human potential and building a brighter future for all

About the lesson

I have worked for the past 5 years as a private English tutor online with a selection of young people who are working towards their KS3 progression, GCSE and A-Levels in English Literature and Language. The students that I work with often have complex needs ranging from anxiety, depression to autism and dyslexia which means I plan, produce, and implement engaging lessons for a range of needs whilst focusing on key skills that the students need in order to pass their GCSEs and A-Levels and truly reach their potential. Throughout my work with these young people, we have consistently achieved level 7+ at GCSE and as high as level 9. I am not only trained and familiar with AQA, Pearsons, OCR, and WJEC but I also teach iGCSE and functional skills giving my students that range of choice and experience.
