About Kit
My name is Kit Trigg, I've been a professional musician since I was 16 and in between touring and performing I teach guitar lessons to people around my neighbourhood. Whether you are a beginner or a fellow professional hoping to learn completely new styles or perfect the skills you have already practiced, ranging in styles from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop, Country and Soul.

My teaching method is to approach the guitar as a musical instrument with the emphasis being to nurture a strong musical ear and melodic/rhythmic instinct. Eventually, letting your ears be your best friend.
For example, we will learn a piece together and instead of relying purely on sheet music and tablature, we would focus you learning said melody through hearing me play it in front of you and discussing how you can get those notes and rhythm, this builds a muscle which only gets stronger and the pay off is this skill of learning by ear will help you co-operate with musicians in a professional environment much faster, easier and musical than site reading.
