About Maya
I am dedicated to helping college students enjoy learning piano while developing confidence and strong musical skills. With 12 years of teaching experience, I believe every lesson should be engaging, encouraging, and focused on individual progress.
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and personalized. I explain musical concepts in simple English, demonstrate every technique carefully, and encourage students to practice regularly with confidence.
I use innovative teaching methods such as digital music tools, rhythm exercises, ear training, interactive learning activities, and customized practice sessions. These methods make every lesson enjoyable while strengthening both technical and creative abilities.
Students develop skills in note reading, scales, chords, finger coordination, posture, rhythm, dynamics, expressive performance, and effective practice techniques. I provide regular progress reviews, personalized feedback, and continuous motivation to help students achieve lasting success.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students build confidence while enjoying the process of learning piano. Every lesson is designed according to the student's goals, learning style, and musical interests. I believe personalized teaching helps students make faster and more meaningful progress.
I regularly use real-life examples and practical case studies to explain music. Rhythm is compared with natural movements and daily routines, while music theory is connected with songs students already know. This practical method helps students understand concepts more quickly and remember them for a long time.
Understanding comes before memorization. I make sure students clearly understand each lesson before moving to the next topic. This creates a strong foundation that supports future learning and performance.
Communication is open, friendly, and encouraging. Students are comfortable asking questions and discussing their difficulties. I provide clear explanations, live demonstrations, and useful feedback that helps them improve after every lesson.
Integrity is reflected in my teaching through honesty, fairness, dedication, and respect. I encourage students to develop patience, discipline, and regular practice habits that lead to long-term success.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard, music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm practice, improvisation, accompaniment, scales, chords, and beginner music composition. My aim is to develop skilled and confident musicians.
